Gokhale Memorial Girls' College is one of the oldest women's College in Kolkata, India. The College offers undergraduate Degrees & is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The name commemorates Gopal Krishna Gokhale, one of the founding social & political figures of the Indian Independence Movement. It is often regarded as one of the best College in Kolkata. Gokhale Memorial Girls' College is recognized by the University Grants Commission ( UGC ). Recently, it has been re - accredited & awarded a B grade by the National Assessment & the Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Educational Qualification:
Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary ( 10+2 ) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek Admission to the 1st year of the 3 year B.A. / B.Sc. ( Hons. / Major ) Course of studies provided she has also passed English full marks not being less than 100.

Bengali honors: Candidates should have a minimum 50% in aggregate & 50% in Bengali A or 50% in aggregate & 70% in Bengali B & 50% aggregate & 70% in Bengali for other Board.

Chemistry honors: 70% in aggregate & 70% in Chemistry & 60% in Mathematics & 65% for other Board.

Economics honors: 65% in aggregate & 60% in Mathematics.

Education honors: 55% in aggregate & must have an Education or one of the related subjects for WB Board & 55% in aggregate & must have an Education or one of the related subjects for another board.

English honors: 70% in aggregate & 70% in English a or 70% in aggregate & 80% in English B.

Geography honors: 60% in aggregate & 65% in Geography.

Hindi honors: 50% in aggregate & 50% in Hindi.

History honors: 55% in aggregate & 55% in History.

Mathematics honors: 60% in aggregate & 70% in Mathematics.

Philosophy honors: 50% in aggregate.

Physics honors: 60% in aggregate, 60% in Physics & 60% in Mathematics.

Political Science Honors: 60% in aggregate.

Psychology honors: 70% in aggregate.

Application Fee:
Candidates should have paid their application fee of Rs. 200/- + Bank Charges through online mode only. The application fee paid by SBI ( all branches ). Candidates should not pay the application fee Rs. 200/- after 11.06.2017. If any branch if SBI receives the application fee after 11.06.2017, the College will consider the form as cancelled.
